Poulenc’s witty Concerto for Two Pianos features 2006 Gilmore Artist Ingrid Fliter and Venezuelan-born pianist Vanessa Perez with the Gilmore Festival Chamber Orchestra, comprising members of the Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids Symphonies. Poulenc’s three-movement dazzler of a concerto has influences ranging from Mozart to Balinese Gamelan sounds. Fliter and Perez will also perform individually in works for piano and orchestra by Chopin and Haydn, and the concert will include the clever and charming Octet of Igor Stravinsky.
