Burton was Gerstein’s first teacher in the US at the Berklee College of Music nearly 20 years ago.

Gerstein will also perform two piano concertos with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra – Shostakovich’s lovely 2nd Concerto and Beethoven’s mighty 5th Concerto, the “Emperor.”
