Uzbek-born pianist Behzod Abduraimov won the 2009 London International Piano Competition and signed on with Decca Classics. In 2012 he will release his debut recording of solo works by Liszt, Prokofiev and Saint-Saëns.
Abduraimov is a student of Stanislav Ioudenitch (Van Cliburn Gold Medalist and former Gilmore Rising Star pianist) at Park University in Kansas City. Among his many appearances in 2011-12 will be a tour with the English Chamber Orchestra and a debut at Tonhalle Zurich with the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra.
