The Gilmore is proudly celebrating the 90th birthday of one of the world’s greatest pianists – Leon Fleisher. Fleisher himself will perform the Mozart Piano Concerto K. 414, and two of his prominent students – Alon Goldstein and Yury Shadrin – will perform the Mozart Two-Piano Concerto, K. 365.

Filling out the all-Mozart program, conducted by Grand Rapids Symphony Music Director Marcelo Lehninger, will be the Overture to The Marriage of Figaro and Symphony No. 35, the “Haffner.”

The Gilmore Festival Chamber Orchestra comprises members of both the Grand Rapids Symphony and the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra.

A pre-concert talk by Dan Jacobson, Western Michigan University, will be held at the Chenery Auditorium Reception Room at 7:00 PM (free for ticketholders).
