Born in Buenos Aires, pianist Ingrid Fliter began her piano studies in Argentina before moving to Europe in 1992. A laureate of the Ferruccio Busoni Competition in Italy, she won the silver medal at the 2000 Chopin Competition in Warsaw and was named a Gilmore Artist in 2006. Ms. Fliter, who will be in residence for the Festival Fellows program and performances at the festival, joins her husband, Anton Dressler, and members of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra for a concert of intimate chamber works, Ms. Fliter presents a quintet by Mozart and trios by R. Schumann and Brahms.
