Community Piano Lab at the Maple Street YMCA

The Gilmore Piano Labs will return to in-person classes at the Maple Street YMCA for the 2021/2022 season.

COVID protocols established by the Maple Street YMCA will be adhered to and communicated with participants. Masks will be required for Fall 2021. All Gilmore piano instructors are vaccinated. 

The Fall I Piano Lab session will run for 7 weeks from September 7, 2021 to October 23, 2021

The Fall II/Winter Piano Lab session will run for 14 weeks from October 25, 2021 to February 19, 2021.

All students register for Community Piano Lab classes with the YMCA.  Upon registration, you will be contacted by The Gilmore for scheduling according to instructor and student availability.

 

Classes offered include:

Level 1 – Elementary Beginner  (Youth Ages 7-10)

Small group piano lessons for students with no previous piano experience.
YMCA Member $30 / Non-Member $45 – 7 week class
YMCA Member $60 / Non-Member $75 – 14 week class
Scholarships upon request.

Times offered:
Classes are scheduled according to instructor / student availability

Level 2 – Middle School/Intermediate  (Youth Ages 11-14)

Small group piano lessons for students who have previously studied piano either with The Gilmore’s elementary school Piano Labs or with a private teacher.
YMCA Member $30 / Non-Member $45 – 7 week class
YMCA Member $60 / Non-Member $75 – 14 week class
Scholarships upon request.

Times offered:
Classes are scheduled according to instructor / student availability

Level 3 – Adult Beginner (Ages 15+)

Small group piano lessons for adults with no previous piano experience.
YMCA Member $50 / Non-Member $60 – 7 week class
Member $100 / Non-Member $120 – 14 week class
Scholarships upon request.

Through the generous support of our education sponsors, we are able to loan keyboards to families that do not currently have access to an instrument. Details on how to borrow a keyboard will be sent after registration is complete. The Keys2Kids keyboard lending program will be free of charge to class registrants.
