Lori Sims & Yu-Lien The will present a live stream program of audience favorites on Friday, June 26 at 7:30 PM. The program comprises two-piano arrangements of works by Ravel, Debussy, and Leonard Bernstein’s iconic Symphonic Dances from West Side Story. Ms. The and Ms. Sims premiered the program at New York’s Steinway Hall in January 2020.

Since winning the Gold Medal at the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition in 1998, Lori Sims has become firmly established as one of the most beloved and respected pianists in the music world today. She has performed worldwide with orchestras and in recital, as well as in chamber music collaborations. She joined the faculty of Western Michigan University in 1997 and was named the John T. Bernhard Professor of Music in 2003.

Yu-Lien The has performed throughout the US, Europe, and Southeast Asia, including appearances as a soloist with the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, the Kammerorchester Hannover and the Baroque Orchestra L’Arco. She is Assistant Professor of Keyboard Studies at Western Michigan University and has previously served on the faculties at Bowling Green State University, Valparaiso University, and Kalamazoo College.
