We are happy to welcome back Maxim Lando, 2020 Gilmore Young Artist, in a Halloween-themed presentation.
He will perform Lowell Liebermann’s new Frankenstein suite for the piano, commissioned by Lando with support from his Gilmore Young Artist Award. Lando performed the work in New York earlier this month for the Crypt Sessions, presented by Death of Classical. Three Dances from Frankenstein Op. 140 is based on the composer’s acclaimed ballet, and explores Mary Shelley’s timeless tale of the dangers that come with reckless creation.
In addition to his Gilmore Young Artist Award, he is also a first prize winner in both the 2022 New York Franz Liszt International Competition and The Vendome Prize 2021-22.
