When the day’s last Festival concert ends, Gilmore After Dark begins–Kalamazoo invites you to step out and make an evening of it! Enjoy relaxed musical events featuring Gilmore Festival Fellows, WMU Jazz Faculty, graduates, and students, as well as treasured local talents who are a part of our vibrant music scene here in Kalamazoo, throughout the great state of Michigan, and beyond.
Keith Hall has been an active performer and teacher for more than 25 years. He spent 12 years touring and recording worldwide with Curtis Stigers and has performed with artists including Betty Carter, Roland Hanna, Michael Phillip Mossman, New York Voices, Janis Siegel, Terrell Stafford, and Steve Wilson. He continues to tour and record with his NYC-based trio TRI-FI. A longtime member of the New York jazz scene, Hall also performed on Broadway’s The Lion King and toured Europe with Grupo Yanqui. He is Professor of Jazz Drum Set at Western Michigan University, host of Jazz Currents on WMUK, and author of Jazz Drums Now! Vols. 1 and 2.
