In an inventively organized program of Chopin Etudes and Nocturnes, Canadian pianist Jan Lisiecki has interwoven the pieces, offering us a new lens through which to view these beloved works.

At age 26, Lisiecki is a polished and mature musician. At age 15, he signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon and has released live recordings of all five Beethoven concertos with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields and a cycle of Beethoven Lieder with Matthias Goerne. Most recently, he released a double album of Chopin’s Complete Nocturnes. His last performance for The Gilmore was as a Rising Star in 2012.
