Jazz Artistic Advisory Committee
The Larry J. Bell Jazz Artist Award and the Larry J. Bell Young Jazz Artist Award recipients are chosen by an anonymous Jazz Artistic Advisory Committee appointed every four years by the Executive and Artistic Director of The Gilmore in coordination with the Director of Jazz. Their identities are revealed after the awards have been announced.

- Vivian Chiu – Director of Cultural Partnerships and Artist Services at Steinway & Sons
- Christopher Roberts – former President of the Classics and Jazz Division of Universal Music Group
- Mark Ruffin – Program Director and On-Air Host for Real Jazz at Sirius XM Satellite Radio
- Wayne Winborne – Executive Director of the Institute of Jazz Studies at Rutgers University-Newark
