Bell Artists

Introduced in 2022, the Larry J. Bell Jazz Artist Award is presented every four years to a jazz pianist of any age or nationality, selected through a rigorous and confidential process conducted by an anonymous committee. The recipient receives $300,000, making it one of the most significant honors in the musical arts.

The inaugural Bell Artist Award was announced on October 8, 2025, in New York, with the event live-streamed on The Gilmore’s YouTube channel.
