Jeremy Siskind & Justin Kauflin

Formerly a faculty member at Western Michigan University’s School of Music, pianist and composer Jeremy Siskind returns to Kalamazoo for a Noon Series concert with New York-based jazz pianist Justin Kauflin. Siskind is a leader of the “house concert” movement, having performed in 100 homes in 25 states since 2012.

Kauflin has been totally blind since age 11. He learned five grades of Braille and cane mobility while simultaneously taking AP classes in high school and attending the Governor’s School for the Arts in Norfolk, Virginia, graduating at the top of both classes. Kauflin began performing jazz professionally at age 15.
