Our Plan For A Safe Return
The Gilmore remains committed to keeping our audience, artists, volunteers, and staff as safe as possible. Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination will be required to attend in-person events, as well as wearing a face covering.
This policy was developed by evaluating the advice of public health officials, patron feedback, input from our partner venues, and with the goal of keeping you, our artists, our volunteers, and our staff as safe as possible.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
The most current Covid-19 guidelines will be followed. We will rely on you to be personally responsible for your decision to join us. If you are feeling unwell, please stay home. All of our 2021-2022 Rising Stars Series concerts will be live-streamed and available for 30 days.
PROOF OF VACCINATION
We are joining with many cultural venues nationwide in the effort to combat Covid-19. We require proof of vaccination from everyone involved in our live events. That includes staff, artists, volunteers, and attendees. To make verification easier, we recommend you download the My Bindle app and set up your account in advance of the event. My Bindle is a secure wallet for your health records and an easy way to privately share your Covid health status with others. Learn More About My Bindle.
You may also show us your CDC vaccination card, or a photo of your card, when you arrive at the venue, along with a photo ID.
Unvaccinated individuals, including children under the age of 12 who aren’t currently eligible, will not be admitted to Rising Stars Series concerts.

TICKET DONATIONS AND EXCHANGES
Tickets are non-refundable but may be donated or exchanged for an event on the 2021-2022 Rising Stars Series or for the 2022 Festival by contacting the box office two or more hours before the performance.

The Gilmore adheres to social distancing guidelines and restrictions set by the State of Michigan. Currently, full capacity seating is available.
Patrons must properly wear a mask over their mouth and nose throughout the time they are attending, from arrival, during the concert, until they have left the venue. We continue to follow Kalamazoo County, State of Michigan, and CDC guidelines for masks. Currently, masks are required for all patrons, including those who are vaccinated against Covid-19.
To aid with contact tracing, patrons may be required to provide their contact information, including name, phone number, and email address.
DURING THE CONCERT
There will be no intermission during the Rising Stars Series and we will not serve food or beverages before or after the events. In lieu of our traditional reception with the artist, there will be a live Q&A with the artist in the concert hall immediately following the performance.
ABOUT OUR VENUES
Each venue has enhanced ventilation and will undergo thorough cleaning before and after each event. Hand sanitizer stations will also be available.
The Wellspring Theater and Epic Center ventilation systems have been updated with MERV 13 filters for added filtration, and the fresh air intake has been increased. In addition, Wellspring Theater is also using appropriately-sized air cleaners/fans for enhanced ventilation. The Epic Center restrooms are cleaned daily. Wellspring Theater has comprehensive cleaning protocol in place for all events including sanitization of seating areas, lobby, stage and flooring, backstage area, and dressing rooms. High contact surfaces, such as door handles, knobs, and switches, are disinfected before and after each event. Hand sanitizer is readily available in the lobby and theatre. Face masks and other PPE, such as gloves, are also available upon request and as needed.
Western Michigan University’s Dalton Center Recital Hall is continuing to follow best management practices for building HVAC systems in accordance with CDC recommendations. Restrooms and public areas such as entryways, hallways and lobbies are cleaned on a daily basis and extra attention is paid to high-frequency touch points to address concerns about cleanliness and sanitation.
