KeysFest 2010
The Gilmore KeysFest is the annual daylong, piano festival for piano students in the greater Battle Creek and Kalamazoo areas. Piano students of all levels, grades 1–12, are invited to perform and receive instruction from professional pianists and/or educators. Students receive immediate affirmation of their skills and musicianship in an open and friendly master class environment, including a small audience of supportive students and adults.

KeysFest 2010 — Kalamazoo February 13, 9am – 4 pm Epic Center, Downtown Kalamzoo Application (below) due into The Gilmore office by Jan. 22 Clinicians: Anne Beth Gajda, Eastern Michigan University

Ms. Gajda specializes in teaching group piano classes and piano pedagogy. She writes and arranges music and materials using the latest innovations in music technology for all levels of piano instruction.
Anthony Patterson, Alma College

Mr. Patterson has released two CDs or original piano compositions and is at home in both the classical and popular music worlds. He performs regularly with other professional musicians, in solo recitals, and accompanying students.
Dr. Garik Pedersen, Eastern Michigan University

Dr. Pedersen, a Steinway artist, has performed as soloist and chamber musician throughout the U.S. and in several countries. He has been presented in recitals by the U.S. State Department and has appeared on numerous public television and radio broadcasts.
Yu-Lien The, Western Michigan University

Born in the Netherlands, Ms. The has played throughout Europe. In addition to playing the piano, she maintains a career as a professional recorder player with extensive appearances in Germany as a member of the Little Consort Hannover.

Dr. Kim, a native of Korea, is the pianist and founding member of Ensemble Montage, a chamber music group made up of Grand Rapids Symphony members who have introduced some of the great modern music literature to West Michigan. She was recently awarded a grant to pursue a research and performance project on French composer Olivier Messiaen.
