Group Sales

Group sales for any Gilmore event, including the Festival, are available through The Gilmore’s group sales representative. Group discounts are available for tours, churches, students – how about your group?

Rising Stars Recital Series

This series of four to six recitals occurs every year and runs from autumn to spring. Tickets are available ONLY through The Gilmore office. Season tickets offer savings over individually purchased tickets and are available through the second concert by calling The Gilmore at 269/342-1166. Season ticket-holders from the previous season are contacted via postal mail and e-mail in late summer with the new lineup and the opportunity to purchase season tickets again. Student tickets are available for $5.

 

Festival

The Gilmore International Keyboard Festival is held every two years (in even-numbered years) in late April and early May. The next Festival is scheduled for April-May 2012. Gilmore contributors have first opportunity to purchase tickets. (Click here if you would like to donate now and be one of the first to purchase 2012 Gilmore Festival tickets.)

When public ticket sales begin – the date is announced in various media and highlighted on our organizational website and our Festival website. Tickets are sold through the Miller Box Office and continue on sale until they are sold out or the event is over. In some cases, tickets are available for purchase at the door. After public ticket sales begin, there are various ways to purchase tickets:

  • through the Miller Box Office Web site, www.millerauditorium.com
  • via phone to the Miller Box Office: 269/387-2300 or 1-800/228-9858
  • in person at the Miller Auditorium Box Office on Western Michigan University's (WMU) campus

Full-time student tickets are $5 and can be purchased with a valid student ID at the door or in advance (w/ a student ID presented when picking up tickets), except where events are sold out or where not permitted by contract.

 

Special Concerts

In addition to our Rising Stars Recital Series, The Gilmore also presents outstanding international pianists in special concerts.

Our next special concerts is scheduled for Monday, January 31, 2011, when we will present Romanian pianist extraordinaire Radu Lupu. Tickets will go on sale October 1.

Ingrid Fliter, 2006 Gilmore Artist, performed a free concert for the community on April 27, 2007. András Schiff performed an all-Mozart recital in October 2006. Krystian Zimerman performed solo recitals in 2003 and 2005, and in 2004 we presented Leif Ove Andsnes and Ian Bostridge in Schubert's monumental song cycle Winterreise. Visit this site's Special Concerts page regularly for information about The Gilmore's upcoming special concerts.

Unless otherwise indicated, group sales and student tickets are available for these yearly special concerts. These concerts are often held in Kalamazoo at Dalton Recital Center on WMU’s campus or at Chenery Auditorium.
