Chinese pianist Ran Jia was just seven years old when she had her first solo debut in 1995. Ten years later she was selected to perform at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall with her teacher, Gary Graffman, and the Orchestra of St. Luke’s.
Jia was the only classical pianist invited to perform at a concert broadcast worldwide by New York’s WQXR in honor of Thelonius Monk’s 90th birthday. Her Father is one of China’s leading composers, and she currently studies at the Curtis Institute of Music.
