In the finest tradition of great Russian pianists, the 2010 Classical Recording Foundation’s Young Artist of the Year and 2006 Gilmore Young Artist, Natasha Paremski, has developed a repertoire that reflects an artistic maturity well beyond her years. The 24-year-old Paremski returns to the Festival with a program that includes a newly-commissioned work written for her by Fred Hersch based on a theme of Tchaikovsky. Paremski’s debut recital recording that was just released in November 2011 also includes a sonata written for her by the young composer Gabriel Kahane.
