The New York Times named the Korean-born Minsoo Sohn’s recording of Bach’s Goldberg Variations as one of the top classical recordings for 2011. Currently an assistant professor at Michigan State University, Sohn has toured extensively throughout North America, Europe, and Israel at important venues including Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Toronto’s Glenn Gould Studio, Boston Symphony Hall, San Francisco’s Herbst Theatre, and Tel Aviv’s Museum of Art and Mann Auditorium. He has appeared at festivals and has collaborated with many leading orchestras throughout North America and Europe.
Sohn received his artist diploma from the New England Conservatory in 2004, where he studied under Russell Sherman and Wha Kyung Byun.
