Grammy Award-winning pianist and singer Diana Krall is back, making her third appearance at the Festival–the first since 2000. Superbly talented and one of the most commercially successful jazz artists of all time, Krall has topped Downbeat magazine’s annual readers’ poll as Best Female Jazz Vocalist for many years. Krall and her Quartet recently recorded with ex-Beatle Paul McCartney for his new album that is due for release in February 2012.
Krall has built a stellar career with a style that has transformed modern jazz music. Consistently ranked atop the jazz charts, she is the only jazz singer to have eight albums that have debuted at the top. When I Look in Your Eyes and Live in Paris won Jazz Vocal GRAMMY®s, and her most recent CD from 2010 Quiet Nights won for Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist.
