Pianist Pedja Muzijevic has performed with orchestras and played solo recitals around the world. He has appeared at many festivals, and toured in the US, South America, Europe and Asia with Mikhail Baryshnikov and the White Oak Dance Project. Muzijevic’s recording, Sonatas and Other Interludes (Albany Records) juxtaposes music for prepared piano by John Cage with composers ranging from W. F. Bach to F. Liszt.
A native of Sarajevo, Muzijevic graduated from the Academy of Music in Zagreb, and continued his studies at the Curtis Institute of Music and at the Juilliard School. Teachers who have had the greatest influence on his artistic development include pianists Joseph Kalichstein and Vladimir Krpan, violinist Robert Mann, and harpsichordist Albert Fuller.
Currently, Muzijevic is the director of music programming at the Baryshnikov Arts Center in New York City.
